CFS 130 Foundations of the Internet (3 credits)

Students will be introduced to Internet communication concepts, principles, and security-related issues. Topics include networking basics, protocols, Unix commands, file management, remote access, file transfer, legal issues, and security measures. Additionally, students will learn beginning HTML, editors, browser security, and Web page content evaluation. Students will be given a network account.

CFS 140 Introduction to Computer Forensics (3 credits)

This course is an introduction to the principles of information assurance and security. Topics include security investigation, analysis, implementation, maintenance, and design.

CFS 210 Terrorism and the Criminal Justice System (3 credits)

This course introduces the student to the study of terrorism. It will focus on both domestic and foreign varieties of this unique form of organizational crime and its implications for the American criminal justice system. Prerequisite: ENG and RDG placement must be at college level or Permission of Instructor.
