Who's keeping the world running? Who made it possible for you to automatically brew your morning cup of coffee, or climb into your car and drive away? Who ensured that the morning newspaper would be printed and ready to pick up on your way to work or school, or that when you flip the switch on your thermostat, your heat turns on?
Mechanical Technology plays a critical role in keeping the world's most complex systems running smoothly, so that we can continue to enjoy the ease with which we choose and use our favorite places and things. Without the mechanical, manufacturing, and quality assurance technicians and drafter/designers that are integral to this important profession, we would not be able to implement, analyze or improve the technologies we've come to rely on in our every day lives.Official Program Description >
Our Mechanical Technology degree prepares you for technical and/or management oriented professions in business, industry, education, and government. Students learn about the latest technological advancements in computer drafting, computer-aided design, and manufacturing, and gain hands-on experience in using computer software to analyze and design mechanical systems and automated manufacturing systems.
