Student Activities

Architecture Club

The purpose of the Architecture Club is:

  • To bring together people of similar interests in architecture, interior design, and related areas
  • To broaden student knowledge and understanding of the built environment and professional career opportunities in settings outside the classroom
  • To provide an opportunity for students to participate in Club sponsored community service projects
  • To sponsor and carry out activities which foster positive social interactions among students
  • To provide leadership experience for students through active participation in the Club
Membership

While membership is primarily intended for students in the Architectural Technology and Interior Design programs, membership is open to all Onondaga students in good standing who share in the goals of the Club.

Club Trips + Activities

Past club activities have included fabulous trips to Italy, Spain, Chicago, Toronto, Ottawa, Boston, New York City, and Albany, NY, and tours of:

  • F.L. Wright’s Fallingwater in Bear Run, Pennsylvania
  • Cornell University, Ithaca, NY
  • the King & King Architects' offices in Manlius, NY
  • the Corning Glass Museum in Corning, NY
  • Boldt Castle in the Thousand Islands, in northern NY

The Architecture Club also sponsors local trips to construction sites and materials suppliers, and arranges for guest speakers. Club members have participated in Habitat for Humanity projects. 

The Club also organizes social activities such as picnics and pizza parties.
