Unpaid internships are available to outstanding students in the program. Participating community partners include Hillbrook Detention Center, the Onondaga County District Attorney's office, the Syracuse Police Department and other regional law enforcement agencies, human service agencies and law offices.
Criminal Justice faculty can provide letters of recommendation to students in good standing. You can take advantage of career counseling and placement services offered to Onondaga graduates. More than 60% of Criminal Justice graduates transfer to a four-year institution to complete their studies. In most cases, those entering the Criminal Justice field will need to pass a Civil Service examination in order to begin their career.
