How do I submit an application?   

Electronically

Applications are now being accepted.You may submit the scholarship application by completing and submitting the application electronically. 

By Paper

You may also print and mail your completed application to: Onondaga Community College, Office of Admission, 4585 West Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, NY 13215.   

What else will I need to do?

The Onondaga Community Scholars Program consists of 3 different scholarships. Each scholarship is described on the application and you’ll need to select the one that best describes your situation. The application process is as follows:

1. Complete an Onondaga Community College Admission Application 
2. File the 2013-14 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Go to www.fafsa.gov to apply 
3. Complete the Onondaga Community Scholars Application  
4. The Onondaga Community Scholars application requires a personal statement. This is your chance to tell us a bit more about yourself. Do you have unique life or work experiences? What are your educational goals? How can Onondaga help you reach these goals?  

How are the recipients selected?

Applications for students who make the priority deadline of April 1, 2013 will be considered first and applications will continue to be accepted until all funds are expended.

When and how will I be notified if I have been awarded the scholarship?

Students will be notified by mail. All students will receive written notification of either eligibility or ineligibility.
