If you haven't already done so, apply for Financial Aid

The process can take 6-8 weeks so plan ahead and do it as soon after January 1 as possible at www.fafsa.ed.gov  and www.tapweb.org.

Financial aid includes grants, scholarships and student loans.  There are also a variety of other ways that you can pay for college.

Take your Placement Test

Learn more about placement testing and how to take one.  If you require accommodations for placement testing due to a disability, contact the Office of Accessibility Resources.
 


Sign up for Advising and Registration

In order to get the classes you need to graduate you will need to be advised so you can select the right classes to register for. Learn more about the advising and registration options for new students.


Pay your tuition and fees

Due Friday before classes begin.  Go to WebAccess to look at your bill. 

There are a variety of options for making paymentsContact the Student Accounts Office if you have questions.


Get your Student ID card

To get your student ID card or "Lazer Card" you will need to stop by the Lazer Card Office during business hours.  You will always be asked for ID when on campus for services.


Complete and submit your Certificate of Residence

In most NYS Counties the certificate of residence must be completed and processed in the window between 60 days before classes begin and 30 days after classes start.

Live outside of Onondaga County but in New York State?  You MUST file a Certificate of Residence.  It entitles you to pay resident tuition, which is HALF that of non-residents.


Reserve a spot for New Student Orientation

You must complete your placement testing before you may attend orientation.

Orientation is held at various times before the semester starts and it is required for new students.  Reserve your spot now.


Get your books

You can work with the Bookstore to get your books and supplies by going to http://onondagacc.bncollege.com/.

 Campus maps are available online or at campus entrances and kiosks located throughout campus.
