Meal Plans

Onondaga Community College offers a meal plan for all of the students living on campus at OCC. This is a defined meal plan which lets you eat a certain number of meals per week.  All students living on campus must have a meal plan and have automatically been signed up for 8 meals per week. You can also change your meal plan from 8 meals per week to 10 or 12 meals per week by filling out the Meal Plan Change form.

The meals will generally consist of one entrée, two sides and one beverage. To make it easier to tell what is available, we coded all menu items are coded by shape and color, depicted on the signage:

Red StarOne Entree - Red Star
Sample entrée options are: Omelets for breakfast; Philly Steaks, Pasta Station Entrées, and Gourmet Wraps for lunch and dinner

Blue CircleTwo Sides - Blue Circle
Sample sides are: English Muffins for breakfast; Garden Salads, French Fries, and Seasonal Fruits for lunch and dinner

Green SquareOne Beverage - Green Square
Sample beverages are: Orange Juice, Coffee, Soy Milk, and 2% Milk

If you take one red item, two blue items and one green item per meal that is a meal. Students are permitted to eat one meal during a meal period. They are permitted to eat as many meals weekly as it is designated on their purchase plan.

To make the plans more flexible we have also included “Flex Dollars” into all of the meal plans. Flex money can be used just like cash for any item sold in the Gordon Café, Mawhinney Café, Starbucks or Fresh Express, just like regular money. Do you want that Large Mocha at Starbucks or that pint of Ben and Jerry’s from Mawhinney Cafe? Use your flex dollars to pay for it!
