The Study Skills Center is staffed with professional reading specialists who are trained to spot reading and study problems, and work individually with you to find solutions.  You may make appointments for short-term help in one or two areas. For example, if you have problems taking biology lecture notes or reading a psychology text, you may work with a tutor for just a session or two. The tutor will help you deal with your immediate needs and give you practical advice.  Or you may arrange to work with a tutor on a regular basis each week of the semester. The tutor will help with individual study skill difficulties or specific reading problems.

The Center also offers workshops throughout the semester. Topics include Lecture Notetaking, Improving Your Memory, Test Preparation and Test Anxiety. If you're interested in working at your own pace, the Study Skills Center also has a series of workshops available on videotape.

These services are available to all Onondaga students. Full or part-time. Day or evening.
