The Department of English/Reading/Communication

In addition to offering core courses for the Humanities + Social Sciences A.A. degree program, the Department of English/Reading/Communication provides courses, concentrations and support services to students in all disciplines at the college.

The Humanities + Social Sciences A.A. degree is jointly granted by the Department of English/Reading/Communication, along with the Department of Modern Languages and the Department of Social Sciences.

The English/Communications/Reading Department offers a wide range of course work in writing, literature, reading, communications, journalism, and cinema. The primary goal of the department is to support the development of proficiency in all areas of communication arts.
